The Intervention Process
Interventions are available for adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse, alcoholism, chemical dependency and other addiction issues who may be resistant to treatment or are just too scared to ask for help directly. Often times the reckless behaviors the addict displays is a call for help they secretly wish someone would answer.
The intervention begins with the first phone call. By seeking help from a professional interventionist and arming yourself with knowledge about the consequences of co-dependency and enabling, you have already taken the first step to getting the person you love the help they need.
When you contact Gift of Intervention and Recovery, you will talk with an experienced professional who understands exactly what you are going through. Next we will complete a detailed assessment of the client's issues, using patterns, prior treatment and family history and any other mental health issues that may be present.
We will schedule several meetings by phone and in person with those loved ones who will be present for the intervention to provide education, answer questions and to discuss the best strategy for a successful intervention.
We will make referrals to appropriate treatment programs and prior to the intervention the admission to the chosen program will be scheduled.
Once the intervention takes place, our staff members remain with the client until they arrive at the designated treatment facility. Treatment Escorts are a specialty and are advisable to assure a successful admission.
Gift of Intervention and Recovery staff members are available for ongoing consultation to the family and treatment centers to assure the smoothest recovery plan possible.
